DAFT PUNK HELMET

2012 - After learning the trade of Arduino and C programming from the Infinity Mirror I was ready to conquer a much more rigorous project. I may have bit off more than I could chew. The following images will take you on a 12 month journey through the creation of my Daft Punk Helmet. Much of the learning had nothing to do with electronics. I spent most of my time sanding (at least 6 months worth). After the creation of the mold I copied it using a method called slush casting. Another method called vacuum forming was used to create the visor. The electronics included a Arduino Mega microcontroller, controlling over 300 LEDs.
